Additions and Alterations for Copenhagen Central School included an addition connecting the elementary wing with the 1998 Library/Science addition. This connecting addition included new kindergarten, special education and high school classrooms as well as a new choral and instrumental music suite. The 9,000 sf additions project was completed with a new elementary gymnasium as well as interior renovations and roof replacement to the majority of the existing roof structure.
The 1998 additions project included 9,000 sf to house the new Library/Media Center, classrooms for Biology and Chemistry and a Technology Lab. A small addition to the rear of the building houses a new handicapped entrance into the District Offices. Interior renovations included demolishing an old industrial arts classroom and expanding the existing cafeteria more than doubling its size. Existing corridors were transformed with the removal of old wall coverings and the installation of new ceramic tile wainscoting. Capturing the previous Home Economics classroom and the adjacent corridor into a new and expanded classroom with a sophisticated darkroom developed a new Arts complex.
